Lay
Renewal Ministries has been working with
churches since 1954. Our purpose is to serve
the local church as it renews,
motivates and equips men and women for
ministry. During that time we have compiled
a wealth of information identifying what we
believe are the Components
of the Effective Church. During
this weekend retreat (Friday evening and
Saturday until about 3:00 PM), each of these
components will be explored with your
leadership team. This will be a time for
your leaders to bond together, study
their role in the church and think
intentionally about their
responsibility to set and implement plans
for the future. We believe that
this retreat will be a valuable asset for
churches of all sizes.
Our all-encompassing goal is to encourage
your church to accomplish its
God-given role: to impact the world for
Jesus Christ. Upon registering for the
retreat, we will send a preparation manual
and a copy of the Leadership Effectiveness
Training Participant's Workbook for your
perusal. |

The
Purpose:
Leadership Effectiveness Training is a
proven tool designed to help the leaders in
your church to be more successful as they
seek to accomplish God's will.
The
Challenge:
"The most serious shortage in our
society is for skilled transformational
leaders who possess the capability to
initiate planned changed from within the
organization."
--Lyle Shaller, The Interventionist
The
Tool:
Through the use of this modular study, your
leadership team will gain a new
understanding of the significant role that
leaders are to fulfill in their churches.
Your leaders will study a scriptural
architecture depicting the Ten Components of
the Effective Church. As you embrace this
architecture, you will build an environment
in your church that is more conducive to
vital ministry and healthy growth. |
