A Story about COF

From Christ’s Church:
“Going into the event, we did not know exactly what to expect, but we knew something great was going to happen. The immediate results were amazing: five people made first-time commitments to Christ, more than 40 people recommitted their lives to Him and six people desire to be involved in or reactivate in small groups. now more than a month later, we are still feeling some of the effects: worship attendance id up, we have had more people express an interest in joining our church, and we have had more people wanting to be baptized. We anxiously anticipate what other things God has in store for us!”

Celebration of Faith

Sharing the Story of Your Journey

A Celebration of Faith (COF) is an opportunity to see and hear models of Christian commitment and openness. (This event was previously known as a Lay Witness Mission.) Through a visiting team of lay men and women, church members will see the lives and hear the testimonies of struggling pilgrims in their own walks of faith.

The emphasis of the COF is Christian testimony and evangelism. Church members will taste experiences like one-on-one prayer, small group discussions and faith stories by people like themselves. They will learn of the fulfillment that comes through a life of prayer, fellowship, understanding the Bible and sharing their faith where they live and work.

A COF is a weekend devoted to living the Christian life as modeled in the First Century. It includes the preaching and teaching of the Word, prayer, fellowship, Bible study, testimony, caring, praise and worship. Spiritual exploration for adults, youth and children makes the Celebration of Faith a total church experience!
