God has blessed you with exactly the right people to accomplish His specific plan for your church. The parts have already been provided. Now you must make sure that they are effectively engaged.

Interactive Master Planning is a comprehensive, structured model to help the church to systematically establish purpose and vision, determine objectives and strategies and implement plans to ensure success.

By following a step-by-step plan to determine the Master’s Plan for your church and implementing that plan, your church can more effectively accomplish its work for the Kingdom. The keys are intentionality, discipline and accountability. Interactive Master Planning will help your church to incorporate these values into your every day operation.

How It Works

Structure
The structure for Interactive Master Planning is based on the church’s commitment to a very specific system of master plan development and implementation. Interactive Master Planning will take your church step by step through the process necessary to make plans and accomplish His will. The system provides a thorough overview, suggested schedules, sample plan development tools and communication tools. If your leaders will commit to implementing Interactive Master Planning, your church will be more effective.

Implementation
The best way to begin the implementation of the Interactive Master Planning model is by hosting a workshop for as many people as possible in your church. A trained facilitator will guide attendees through the process and engage them in practical ways. Throughout the day, attendees also will break into ministry teams for further discussion and planning. When everyone comes back together, they can update and encourage one another to do more for God’s glory.

At the conclusion of the workshop, the leadership team will have a wealth of information and tangible goals to pursue as part of the church master plan. A kit is also left with the leadership for future follow-up and development.

If you wish, the church may purchase this resource kit as a stand-alone item for self-administration. This kit will lead your leaders through the steps with a PowerPoint CDROM presentation and leader workbooks.

A complete IMP Consultation Package includes the implementation workshop, Resource Kit and one year of telephone consultation. The IMP process will be an ongoing one in your church. Planning and implementation will become intentional rather than haphazard.

Consultation Workshop Participants
 The question “Who should attend?” is an important question to answer. The workshop has been designed to train you how to use the IMP system. It will set the stage for continued, intentional planning and the implementation of God-give direction. We suggest the following groups of people be at the workshop:

  • Current church staff and spouses
  • Current leaders and spouses
  • Prospective leaders and spouses
  • Key ministry leaders and volunteers with a heart for action

Your key leaders must be involved in Interactive Master Planning from the beginning if you want to ensure the success of the implementation of the process.

The workshop can key benchmark in the life of your church’s growth. Your key leaders will be trained in the master planning process. You will then have the benefit of the kit that can be used to train others involved in the implementation of Interactive Master Planning in your church.

Preparation
There is some suggested preparation required if you choose to host an Interactive Master Planning Workshops. Upon receiving your registration, a preparation manual will be sent. The manual will serve as a guide in preparation. In addition, to facilitate your preparation, we suggest the Spiritual Growth and Community Impact survey. The data will be a valuable resource for leaders. In addition, we advise you and your leadership team spend advance time on the phone with the facilitator to discuss dreams and strategies.
