Serve the church
as it renews, motivates and equips men and women for ministry
Simply put, LRM exists to serve the church as it strives to fulfill God's calling to create disciples.
How do we do that?
- We train leaders to seek God's vision.
- We equip leaders to lead the church.
- We celebrate God's blessings through the sharing of testimonies.
Enabled by the Word of God and empowered by the Holy Spirit, Lay Renewal Ministries strives to serve the local church through the Process of Renewal, igniting a passion for ministry and equipping disciples to reach their community and the world for the Gospel of Christ Jesus.
We will provide dynamic equipping opportunities through weekend Celebrations. We will provide excellent leadership equipping opportunities through on-site events and equipping resources. We will provide sound consultation and partnership with churches in developing Biblical strategic plans. We will provide quality Christian resources to educate and equip for Biblical spiritual growth.
Lay Renewal Ministries believes that churches and individuals grow as they subscribe to an intentional process of renewal. This process promotes the belief that vital churches must consistently subscribe to specific endeavors to enhance their renewal. Lay Renewal Ministries endorses these components of the Process of Renewal which include:
- Leadership Development
- Master Planning
- Congregational Renewal and Celebration
- Resourcing and Equipping
“To prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Song of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.” –Ephesians 4:12-13
God has given us the keys to unlock the power of His love in the world.
We simply must learn to use them.
The premise, motivation and experience of Lay Renewal Ministries is based on decades of service working in the local church and with pastors, church leaders and congregations. Established in 1954, thousands of churches and tens of thousands of individuals have been touched by God through Lay Renewal Ministries. LRM will call upon those years of experience and an ongoing study of the church to encourage, equip and engage the church to make disciples. This ministry will be built as dedicated church men and women resolve to enter a new level of commitment and connection through their own churches and the greater Church of Jesus Christ.
From the beginning, Lay Renewal Ministries has been an interdenominational organization. Therefore, we have a very basic list of essential beliefs which we believe are the essentials of the evangelical Christian faith. While individual team members may belong to a specific denomination, our focus is to present salvation through Jesus Christ alone. If you have any questions regarding the Ministry’s beliefs, please feel free to contact us so that we may answer your questions specifically.
The Triune God
We believe in the Trinity: Father (Creator), Son (Redeemer and Life Model), and Holy Spirit (Teacher, Equipper and Empowerer for living out God’s commands).
Infallibility of the Word of God
The Bible, comprised of 66 books, is the guide for the practice of our faith and the basis of all LRM programs. This one Book was written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. It is the source of Truth and is our final authority on all matters.
Jesus Christ as our Savior
There is only one path to eternal salvation, provided through the redeeming blood of Jesus Christ. Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Through His death on the cross, He has paid the price for all of our sins.
The Priesthood of Believers
We acknowledge that partnership in ministry between the laity and clergy is in keeping with God’s plan for His church. God has given each person Gifts to be used in Kingdom service. These gifts must be understood and developed so that each person may fulfill God’s purpose for his or her life.
The Church as God’s Chosen Vessel
The Church is comprised of God’s people, scattered throughout the earth. Local congregations are places where people can meet, fellowship, and grow spiritually equipped to go out into the word. The Church is God’s plan for witness and service to a broken, hurting world.
